Chris Storms with Young Life Central Florida stopped by GRP Studios for his time today on the Check Your Six podcast. Chris is a Navy veteran, graduate of UCF, go Knights, and is currently the full time area director for Young Life Central Florida. Chris and I talked about the state of the youth in Florida, the need for volunteers and mentors to reach some of the middle school and high school kids that need that connection. Talked about the "Caring For Kids" mentality that is showcased on the younglife.org and targets a lot of different groups of kids that can benefit from these programs. Also talked about the spike in teen and young adult suicide that we have seen post covid and perhaps some of the hope that Young Life offers.
